As the big day approaches, you'll get a fun questionnaire about a month before our session to help me understand your vision. A couple of weeks before the shoot, I'll send a styling guide so you have plenty of time to plan your fabulous outfits.
FAQs
Do I have to decide on a package now, or can I choose later? You don’t have to choose a package right away. At the time of booking, you only need to pay a deposit of $200. Then, one week before your photoshoot, you can decide on the package that suits you best—you’ll need to pick at least the smallest package. However, after the photoshoot, once you’ve seen the preview images, you’re welcome to upgrade if you’d like more images. I want you to have the flexibility to make the best choice for your family!
What happens if the weather is bad on the day of our photoshoot? Can we reschedule? I’m always keeping a close eye on the forecast about a week before your session. If it looks like the weather won’t cooperate on our original date, I’ll do my best to move your session to another day that week. If the weather turns unexpectedly bad on the day of, don’t worry—we can absolutely reschedule at no extra cost. It’s all part of the outdoor photography experience. I only schedule two outdoor shoots a week, so if there’s a stunning weather day forecasted, I’ll reach out to see if you’re happy to switch. My goal is to capture your family in the best light possible!
Can you help us with styling for our family photoshoot? Absolutely! Once your session is booked, I’ll send you a few emails, including a detailed styling guide. This guide is designed to help you mix and match outfits effortlessly, ensuring everyone looks and feels amazing on the day.

Where do the family sessions typically take place? Do you have location suggestions? Yes, I’m very familiar with the beautiful outdoor settings the Surf Coast offers. I’ve curated a list of my favorite locations that provide breathtaking backdrops, and I’m well-versed in how the light works in these spots throughout the day. You’ll receive a location guide in your email with all my top picks!
How long does a family session usually last? Family sessions typically last about an hour to an hour and a half. This includes a little break for the kids to keep them happy and engaged, so we can capture as many beautiful moments as possible. The sessions are very relaxed—there’s no rushing, and I highly encourage you to bring along some snacks for the kids in case they need a quick refuel.
What’s included in the family photography package? Are digital files and prints available? Yes, you’ll receive all your images digitally in a beautifully presented gallery, complete with both colour and black-and-white edits. Additionally, you’ll get a slideshow of your images set to music. All images are fully retouched to perfection—say goodbye to distractions like seaweed on the beach! You can order prints directly from your gallery, including framed prints delivered to your home. If you’re looking for larger-scale prints, I work with a trusted printer and framer in Geelong who can deliver them right to your door.
How long will it take to receive my images? After our photo shoot, I’ll send you a preview of your images within a week—this is the longest it will take, and I always aim to get them to you as quickly as possible. Once you’ve selected the images you’d like me to edit, your final gallery will be delivered within two weeks. Again, this is the maximum time frame, but I always strive to get your photos to you sooner.
