As the big day approaches, you'll get a fun questionnaire about a month before our session to help me understand your vision. A couple of weeks before the shoot, I'll send a styling guide so you have plenty of time to plan your fabulous outfits.
FAQs
When is the best time to schedule my maternity photoshoot? The ideal time for a maternity photoshoot is between 28-36 weeks. This is when your bump is beautifully round, but you’re still comfortable enough to enjoy the session.
Where will the maternity photoshoot take place? I love shooting outdoors, especially along the beautiful beaches and natural landscapes around Torquay and Geelong. If you prefer something more intimate, I’m also happy to capture your session in the comfort of your home.
Can my partner or other children be included in the photos? Absolutely! Your partner and other children are more than welcome to join in. These sessions are all about celebrating your growing family, so including everyone makes it even more special.
How long will it take to receive my maternity photos? After the session, you’ll receive a preview of your images within a week. Once you’ve selected your favorites for editing, your final gallery will be delivered within two weeks. I always aim to get your photos to you as quickly as possible, but the stated timeframes are the maximum it will take.
Do you retouch the images? Absolutely. Pregnancy is beautiful, but I know it can also come with its little imperfections. I carefully retouch the images to ensure you look and feel your best, so your glowing skin and natural beauty truly shine through in every photo.
When is the ideal time to book a newborn shoot? If you’re dreaming of those beautiful, sleepy newborn photos, it’s best to book your session within the first 14 days. After that, I usually avoid booking babies between two to five weeks because they often get baby acne during that time. If you’re more interested in capturing those first smiles and more awake moments, the six to eight-week mark is just perfect.
What’s included in the maternity photography package? Are digital files and prints available? Yes, you’ll receive all your images digitally in a beautifully presented gallery, complete with both colour and black-and-white edits. Additionally, you’ll get a slideshow of your images set to music. All images are fully retouched to perfection—say goodbye to distractions like seaweed on the beach! You can order prints directly from your gallery, including framed prints delivered to your home. If you’re looking for larger-scale prints, I work with a trusted printer and framer in Geelong who can deliver them right to your door.
What should I wear for my maternity photoshoot? I love the casual style—think unzipped jeans with a bralette, a swimming top, or an opened shirt. These looks are effortless and beautiful, highlighting your natural glow. Plus, I have items in my client wardrobe that fit sizes 8-14, so you’ll have plenty of options to choose from to ensure you feel confident and comfortable during your session.
